  2.  @crystalchandelier22  how can you say abortion is killing a live baby when most abortions occur when it is nothing more than a fertile egg with no brain or heartbeat. Birth control and first trimester abortion are much the same thing just at different stages

  3.  @crystalchandelier22  actually most pregnancies can be detected after two weeks so you need to get your facts straight Also a baby's brain starts functioning 6 weeks after conception and a baby only begins to feel pain 20 weeks after conception so the case can be made that anything before five or four months is an ethical abortion as the baby doesn't even have a conscious until 6 months after pregnancy

Abortion has become such a common practice and skill that outlawing it would simply cause many more alleyway abortions. There are plenty of countries that do not permit abortion yet have higher abortion rates per capita than the US. on top of that there will soon (soon as in a few or more years) be abortion drugs on the medical market. So outlawing abortion likely won't negatively effect the abortion rates Next I think socio-economic factors should be taken into consideration. It has been shown that mothers who want abortions tend to be in the lower class and would have little or no way to finance a baby, hence unwanted babies already put financial stress on an alrrady financially stressed group and would likely suffer emotional neglect or even abuse from resentful members of him/her's family or financial supporters. It has also been shown that the countries with the lowest abortion rates per capita tend to be Scandinavian countries where abortion is legal however few people do it as the state provides free education, healthcare, paid maternity and paternity leave and many parenting classes. This shows that the best way to combat abortion is to improve people's standard of living I do see your point that it appears hypocritical of someone to expect others to value her unborn child only if she values it, however that if a woman never wanted this burden put on her shoulders then she shouldn't have to carry it

It's a complex scenario that often leaves me questioning myself: Many pro-choicers set the start of a human life at birth Many pro-lifers set the start of a human life at impregnation Some pro-lifers don't have a bar and believe birth control is wrong I personally believe, along with many other pro-choicers, believe that abortion should only be allowed within the first trimester as it creates a compromise. Pro-choicers must take responsibility and make their decision before that egg becomes a fetus with a head and a heart and pro-lifers must accept that destroying an egg is within the rights of the woman.

My fellow democrats still stand with me even if some of them disagree with me and some of them don't so what's your point

What makes this different is that the blonde woman benefitted from her abortion by not having to provide for two children and being relieved of its responsibility where as an alcoholic doesn't benefit from alcoholism whatsoever That said I understand the value of her opinion in that she suffered from PTSD as a result of the abortions and is trying to stop people from experiencing the same thing, however what taints that view is that she didn't get one but two abortions, she didn't feel guilty about it when she went to get a second abortion but now after the 2 deeds are done has become traumatic about it

  20.  @neonbrownpear9168  I can also say that a fertile egg or undeveloped foetus is not a human life. It doesn't have any brain activity, doesn't have any consciousness and doesn't feel any pain I don't consider that a human life as at that point it isn't anything more than an organism
