Got to hand it Elon, he singlehandedly reduced Twitter's revenue income by 75% over the course of a couple years, that is impressive 😂 And now he's moaning that the advertisers did in fact leave, seems his ego needs constant reality checks

@JackVz the existence and government support of Boeing disproves that notion. The US maintains various monopolies

@Andy-su5wg Twitter's income has been reduced by 75%, it hasn't been profitable in years, Elon is suing groups to force advertisers back on the platform, he has to pay over a billion dollars a year for the loan he took out to purchase Twitter. Just how did he win exactly?

@dieterrosswag933 the reasonable expectation to not have your ads be placed under race replacement theory and other extremist rhetoric is not blackmail, it's a standard inclusion in most advertising contracts. Elon went after a tiny group with almost no actual power that simply acted as a unifying voice among advertisers, advertisers are not going to go back to him just because he put their associate out of business.

@valerianaerospace3268 in what sense?

I don't think they need to, Twitter's revenue reports do that just fine

@Permiate what damages?

@caiuspostumiusturrinus1024 I'm pretty sure advertisers' contracts include stipulations on what kind of media their ads will be placed in, and the reasonable expectation of Twitter to remove harmful messages that could be associated with their brand. Since Elon axed almost all of the moderator team, told advertisers to go screw themselves and doesn't believe in restricting certain types of speech his case is pretty weak.
