The fertility rate is 1.56, if you don't have young able bodied workers this country is going to get a lot worse A big portion of immigrants are the people who do the jobs no one else wants, they keep the economy going and the government doesn't even have to bother with 18 years of financially supporting them from infancy to adulthood Young people are being spurned because older people represent the majority voting base and those people are interested in maintaining the value of their property and pensions, while young people are having their student loan interest rates bumped up and are being priced out of the housing market
