That pastor is not a true servant of God. Real pastors of God don't spread political motivations publically to his congregation to advance his own political motivation. Furthermore one of the ten commandments the BUILDING BLOCKS of Christianity is "Thou shalt not commit adultery" so if he's backing a guy who commits adultery and tells everyone stop talking about it or God(the God of love and mercy) will send his wrath on us then he's a fraud

Priests are married to the church and women become nuns. It's a tradition all of the priests and nuns I know embrace.

@religiohominilupus5259 maybe they're not changing not because they don't have the balls to do it maybe they don't want to change it because they simply don't want to change it. Clergy who marry still have an active roll in the church as Deacons and can lead the mass given that a priest is not present. As for women priests they're already nuns and if they haven't spoken against it then there's no point in changing it. The assault on children is a problem but the marriage and female priests thing is neither a problem nor a solution

Those priests that sexually assault minors aren't true catholics they're disgraces. True Catholics and Priests are honorable, noble people. Don't be fooled by all the scandals the vast majority of priests are still good people who want to make the world better

It's not about trying to prove GOD's existance it's about living up to the values set out in the commandments which if everyone followed the world would be amazing. You'll also find that these scandals are present in all christain religions as well as other religions Finally these crimes are much more prevalent in the US due to the ancestral line dating back to puritanically 'religious' settlers. I live in a small town with a wonderful priest. He's done so much to help me, his masses are filled with rejoice and happiness. I can't stand even for a second for someone to think of him and automatically assume he's a child molester

@Gin Weston are you serious. Alright I'll tell you how they are worse off. In those sweatshops those people work about 100 hours a week and make $173 a month. They're making 43 cents an hour where as in the US people must be paid atleast $7.25 an hour. Do you actually see that difference Those people in the sweatshops receive no benefits and no raises no matter how hard they work and you have the audacity to say they're better off than minimum wage earners in America?!

But catholics aren't the only ones it's all types of Christianity, it's in Islam and Judaism, it's in domestic families and foster homes. The bigger picture shows its not a catholic problem it's a social problem. As for marriage leave that decision to the pope and his cardinals they much more knowledgeable than most people think

I'm catholic and my priest has been there since childhood, I was an alter server, he baptised my sister, he's always tried to help me and encourage me. He's a great man but because of this people like to judge because they're shown the 1% of bad people claiming to be priests. It hurts me because my priest has always been an amazing man
