It's amazing how much time, energy and money has to go into simply maintaining aircraft when they don't do anything, it's honestly surprising airlines like Ryanair are able to turn a profit
2600
Damn it's kinda sad how they fell, most other companies who fall fail to adapt but Pan Am literally were victim to circumstance, like the oil embargo, bomb and Congress
1600
Too long, didn't watch? Netflix happened
75
The turnover in ATC is really high so it baffles me how they always have staff on hand. Respect to these guys they do a vital job
74
And instead makes money from making his security detail rent rooms at his hotel on the weekends 😂
59
This is unfortunately going to be a big step backward for humanity, until we get a vaccine we'll be burning through money we don't have surviving
43
Donating 2.5 million to charity in eight years wow thank you Obama
33
I swear every year all the food experts do complete 180s on their opinions
32
Lured? Those idiots knew exactly what they were doing. Orchestrating an unsanctioned coup of another sovereign state you don't het lured into doing that you participate in it and are just as guilty as the men you fought beside
30
Well what Trump did was morally wrong but I doubt he will be impeached because of it as politics seldom care about ethics
23
@Alex w I've read the report but all I've seen thus far is a money laundering scandal with no ties to Obama. Please state the website which you read the report from
17
@sailbroker6244 did you even listen most of that was his 1.4 million nobel peace prize grant all of which he gave to charity
13
Germany: uhhhhh
12
The Supreme Court being a lifetime appointment was an abysmal decision, in terms of anti-corruption protections that's one of the worst things you can do because once a justice is appointed there's no big reason why he/she should give a damn about the consequences, which makes it far easier to buy them out
12
Evidence?

@zoyaspencer8025 did you watch the video, he's literally saying it whilst being recorded

Shares, sales and store locations

@mannegar7650 A380

No they are most certainly not worth it, moreover in reality they cost hundreds of millions of pounds per year, not 86 million. Security and estate renovations for example are completely comped by the taxpayer and are not included in the 86 million budget

Stock Market: exists r/wallstreetbets: and I took that personally
6
Hopefully this'll be good for the armed forces. They've gotten a lot better in the modern era in regards proper physical fitness
5
No they're not
4
@emilymiller5333 most people already had plans to travel and aren't going to cancel over a virus with only minimal infections
4
Someone's salty they weren't picked for flight training
4
I doubt that. Software can't replicate what ATC does
3
Seriously?
3
They're not coming back, not in any meaningful way anyway. Today fuel is more expensive, technology allows seemless communication from nearly anywhere on Earth, and with more people living in major urban areas noise pollution is more consequential. We just don't need it, as unromantic as it seems The RyanAir and EasyJet models are the way forward
3
Yes, largely because New York and London have multiple airports to spread the load where as Atlanta only has one international airport
3
Because they enjoy the taste....

@anguspontin7244 last august alone the government paid $185 000 in security when Trump took a holiday at the Trump National Golf Course in Bedminster. Since taking office in 2007 Trump has spent more than 150 days on Trump company property begging the question. How much is the government spending on him? The information was provided by www.usatoday.com and backed by several other sources
3
@zooeykoll9137 yes and I support any and all attempts governments make to contain the virus, what I'm saying is it's unrealistic to expect people to put their lives on hold. Look at the progress that's already been made thanks to the response from people and governments alike. I understand the risk that travelling poses but given that governments are shutting down their border, airlines are shutting their routes and people are self isolating it seems like the risk has been greatly reduced
3
That is nonsense, the US already had existing tariffs on Mexico, Canada and the EU as well, it wasn't mentioned because it was a stabilised, relationship. Trump just came out swinging, trying to throw his meat on the table like we can't live on without it.
3
You sound jealous
3
No, O'Hare is the 6th busiest airport in the world
3
@szargo8324 well busiest is determined by passenger traffic not aircraft numbers
3
Except for all that timber, steel and aluminium that's hiking up in prices. Homes, cars and machinery are about to become substantially more expensive to make
2
@naturalimmunity7007 go back to your bridge troll
2
Depends on your bias
2
This is what it's like for first class. The people there want to served by the best i.e the best at their jobs and the best appearance
2
Seriously? These are asylum seekers who have applied at the border for asylum. They have literally done nothing illegal. If you say no so be it but don't lock them up in detention facilities
2
Unfortunately the finer details seem to be less and less studied these days, in favour of quippy sound bites. All of the surplus grain and high quality meat that the US produces for export is now in danger as retaliatory tariffs come into effect, which will hurt farmers immediately.
2
Do you really think any of this is classified
2
@FosterFarmsOk no, but fear isn't the point, do you fear the Russians for what they have done in Ukraine, or do you wish for them to be defeated. America need not be feared, as long as it is known for having a vast, determined and properly funded military
2
@FosterFarmsOk I understand your concern but it really doesn't matter. Fear does not compel other nations back down, it has the opposite effect, look at Israel, they have a vast professional army, mandatory national service, and are known to crack down hard on terrorism, but it didn't matter in the end. Being seen as a professional yet peacekeeping force is the best impression America can choose to give
2
@thatkaveman99 Denver has about 2/3 the traffic movement that ATL has
2
1:31 I'm sorry but that budget increase statistic continuing to "soar" is bullshit. Inflation from 2011 to 2017 amounts to 8.9% (11.9% if you include 2011) which shows that police spending only marginally increases over inflation
2
No it's not
2
That would literally never work, thse companies need millions every month just to maintain their aircraft let alone admin, fuel and tax costs of running them
2
No you don't
2
So some guy didn't follow the rules and thought they didnt apply to him. Lol
