Sure, that probably got him into the good graces with Congress, ease up their budgets so they can give themselves a raise, but it affected both democrat and Republican jurisdictions.

  33. Gold isn't liquid money either, every system of currency requires a societal acceptance and adherence to it. It just so happens that the system these days is a lot more volatile due to everyone's access to information which can very dramatically affect their faith in the system.
