  2. It's not the same thing, the UK leased Hong Kong from China so legally they had to give it back and going to war over it, would make the UK very unpopular, and would likely not get NATO or UN approval

  3.  @chrisak49  I don't think China would launch an attack in that circumstance, I think they'd launch an appeal with the UN, which in all likelihood would force Britain to remove their jurisdiction of Hong Kong
