  1. I see your point but in the modern world do you not think it's more appropriate to discipline your children by withholding privileges. So much of what we grow up with now we're luxuries a generation ago, and it would be good to remind a disobedient child of that. I also think that withholding privileges will stem any sense of entitlement, as the child quickly comes to term with the fact that their luxuries are not guaranteed, and it can resemble real life, as in the real world the most common consequence for shitty behaviour is professional and social rejection and
