Which islamic society?
2
Definitely not, inequality often manifests as how upper classes solidify generational wealth and lower classes are forced out due to artificial ceilings. Most people are willing to work hard for their livelihoods, but it's the cunning, the fortunate and yes sometimes the industrious that get to the top

That's the worst solution possible

@ExpatriatePaul do you have any examples of successful laissez-faire societies
1
Actually it does, we are hard wired emotionally and socially to want equality, fairness is a core tenant of most societies, how it manifests is up for debate Wealth equality is important because it is about empowering people to be active, positive influences in their society while stopping corruption and political scheming

That's not what people mean when they talk about wealth equality. Should a 20yr old son of an oil baron get every opportunity in life, have all of his expenses and luxuries paid for, while another 20yr old, born into poverty be denied the opportunity to education, healthcare and shelter

But can and should be mitigated

@martinbrousseau2560 literally every western nation has dozens of policies aimed specifically at reducing wealth inequality

Equality is as real as Capitalism and Communism, it's the social manifestation of innate human reciprocity
