@jamesgoatcher The mere fact that even after his work being open source, the general dev community and general public don't use his creation is enough to prove that his creation wasn't as good or useful as say Torvalds who's work was good enough for actual use. If his language, compiler and os was really good, it would have been embraced by the open source community. Also, the fact that he took 10 years to create all this isn't a good signal for top tier league. 10x, 1000x programmers create impactful products in short time.

@jamesgoatcher Nobody ever got to test the language, complier, and OS that he created. So there's no way to prove how good those actually were. Unlike other programmers here who's creations have been tested and validated by billions of people. There are many people who create their programming languages, compilers and even OS, but that doesn't make them the absolute best. Without impact, there's no 10x programmer, forget 1000x.

@jamesgoatcher Well yes. I believe that proof of how good something is resides in it's reception/usability/adoption. Otherwise anyone can make anything no matter how crappy it is and call themselves a genius.

Yeah sure. Creating an OS that no one ever used. How impactful.
