As a front-end developer, I feel most people want to code in Typescript because it gives you something new to work with and because it's easy to say that "it makes our code more robust". But I wonder how many people genuinely see a benefit? Most of the time we include it because it gives a sense of security and makes us feel cool, but in reality it's really frustrating to match types everywhere in our code and devs soon resort to using 'any' everywhere in the code.

@That_Darned_S Yeah I know that. That's how Typescript marketed itself when launched. But how many people have actually seen the benefits in real? Most just throw these big words around without really any hands on experience.
