Why does Joe think Tesla is ahead? Why is he mentioning FORD lmao. Joe, Waymo exists!!! You know, the company already operating a 100 square mile self driving network in Phoenix, owned by Alphabet, a company with a hundred billion in cash. Crazy to think you did this long video without any mention of Waymo, Googles self driving car unit.

Oh sweet! Glad to know a Youtube commenter figured out the radiation problem.

Yeah it's a good way for Joe to pretend his taxes didn't fund and create ISIS

You should read about Malthus and the effects of technology on the economy. In short, we don't need jobs, we need stuff. We actually need to make stuff with less human input, so that each human produces more per capita. The entire advanced economy you see around you results from this process of creative destruction.

The US is fat people on anxiety and depression medications, not warriors.

Probably way better than the average human driver who is easily distracted... or often drunk

Lenard Segnitz you mentioned some good things, but I wouldn't compare rush hour times from now compared to the future. Most cities don't charge any penalties for driving at rush hour, and therefore too many people drive all at once and traffic is created. If we make it completely free to travel at the same time, then of course we will get a lot of traffic. We suffer from traffic because of a lack of price system. However, mobility as a service providers will charge fees based on demand. This will naturally reduce traffic at our current peak times and distribute traffic to other times, based on individual economizing. For example, most delivery bots will probably run during the cheapest times, rather than driving at peak times.

This story would make sense if there was a world government, but there isnt. Each jurisdiction has its own laws, and other countries are not going to ban something that increases safety and improves mobility because a bunch of people in another country went crazy over a single accident.
2
Average Joes self driving, where we retrofit old cars to put a $2000 sensor suite in, and have them pay us anonymously in crypto. The government would probably go after the service centers of these cars or try to block them from public charging areas without some government approved registration code, but that wouldn't be enough to stop it.

MBS is getting softbank to invest billions into solar, so you guys will be okay. Just remember to push up the date of Aramco's IPO or you'll lose out on billions.
2
Lmao. Cumon dude. You think a computer cant drive a car more safely than the average human on "curves and hills"? Haha. And you think this will take 10-20 years based on what knowledge of the industry?
2
Can you work out while youre driving a car like you can in a self driving car?

Nanobots converting carbon in the atmosphere to carbon nanotubes. Pulling hydrogen out of the atmosphere and filling carbon nanotube blimps with it.

@briandiehl9257 The US federal budget is 4 things: war, social security, medicare/medicaid, and servicing the debt. So war makes up about one third of the non-debt portion.

Maintenance is cheaper than an EV that doesnt need brake replacements, oil changes, spark plugs, belts, gas, etc? My guess is that you're not doing your math right.

We already have autopilot for planes. Its much easier to do. The last flight you went on was 99% autopilot.
1
The good thing is that automomous cars will dramatically reduce the need for police. Half of them work in traffic law (routine traffic stops are often where they arrest peaceful people for having a drug). Plus all the meter maids will go away (Joe didnt talk much about parking, but AVs solve it). Anyway, if they already know who you are, where you are, and think you did a crime, right now they come to your house and shoot your dog first. Seems a little better just to get a ride into the police station.

I like transportation being cheaper, safer and greener.

Try playing a Tibetan singing bowl and you will find out :)

Wireless charging is wasteful. You lose around 50% of the energy. If you are parking for 20 minutes, its fine to wait for an automated plug on an arm to connect to your car for 10 seconds.

Get comma.ai to outfit it with free self driving if you got the version with bumper cameras and radar

I asked a 16 year old autistic and chronically anxious girl with OCD about the scientific issue as to whether the world is ending, and she said yes and told me to join her climate strike.

Emotions are also vibrations/frequencies. One's emotions will also resonate with other people's.

Try it sometime. You ever travel?

What percent do they take down in India?

Its in Phoenix right now, Joe just didnt cover that for some reason.

A conscience is different from consciousness

It won't happen. People, especially young people, won't purchase cars once full self driving comes.

@nisseg3026 Heated radar + autonomous doesnt need road lines
1
Joe I like Tesla the same reason you do. Elon is actually democratizing the profits from autonomy which we cant get with Waymo. Google has enough money, computing power and data on all of us already. I dont want them to rule the world.

Lets get on with dredging a canal to the low points in the Sahara in Egypt. With a bit of solar power, you could transform a huge area of the desert to productive agriculture. Might help with sea levels too. Africa needs agriculture.

Yay, tax free transportation and delivery with Monero :D
