  1. The fact that everything sold comes from a Chaebol is because of the protectionist trade regulations in South Korea. It is cheaper to pay for freight and duties to ship a Hyundai from the US to South Korea, than by one domestically, because domestic prices are so high. I've seen it done by my friends while living there. I also used to bring back Apple products to sell on Craigslist when I'd go home to Canada and come back to Seoul.

  5. Oil prices will drop in the next five years with autonomous-EVs eating into demand. Planes will probably see lower fueling costs, which they will need because A-EVs and short range electric VTOL will eat into domestic short haul flights.

  6. More people had issues with China when it was under Mao and invading everybody like on the Korean peninsula, Tibet, etc. Pretty sure that people around the world are more positive about China now that it makes products and invests in neighbouring countries.

If there's one guy who was sentenced to 4 weeks in prison (but was immediately released for time served), thats still better than having the US government after you. Elon Musk posted a tweet about Tesla after trading hours and now the SEC is hauling him in for contempt. There are whistleblowers on the run from the US. Singapore seems on par in free speech compared to any liberal Western country, or better.

  10. You have no idea what Western opinions are because you can barely speak English, and thus are not around Westerners. Most Westerners like Chinese phones and products and don't have an opinion on your country's specific history 100 years ago or whatever.
