  1. I think this could work in Namibia. They have a unique geography where they get constant fog but no rainfall and a huge desert. Most coastal places with humidity get plenty of rainfall.

  2.  @TwoBitDaVinci  Yes, their whole coastline is named "skeleton coast" for all of the ships that have run ground there, because of the foggy shores next to desert. People would dehydrate and die there for over a century. There are unable to keep significant populations near their coast so there is an incredibly long stretch without any port cities. They are in a unique situation where the fog never travels inland and turns to rain, often it dispenses northward toward the Atlantic.

  4. Way more people live in RVs than Tiny Homes, and they are cheaper to get used and come with every appliance you need, plus they're easier to move to different cheap areas like RV parks and BLM land.

  5. Yes, it is usually illegal to live in cheap housing. Housing costs will never get solved because incumbents who already own expensive homes don't want their prices to fall. That's why there hasn't been a new mobile home park opened in my region since the 70s. We have the boomers and politicians to thank for this like many other problems.

They take 10 years because there are 10x too many law schools in the US, and a lot of history, sociology, and other humanities students who get a JD from a crap university. 10% of law degree holders get real jobs (the smartest) and hordes of other people join environmental NGO's to stall and freeze the permitting progress of any energy or infrastructure project in North America. If they can stall the approval process for a few years, investors will back out of large deals because their capital is losing potential use.

  44. An important part of milk for me is the bacteria and enzymes which make it digestible for me by having raw milk. Each cows raw milk in each region will have unique bacterial variety and quantity. Precision fermentation sounds like a way to make protein powder like whey or casein.
