  5. I like cryptocurrency and stocks in non-taxable accounts more than home maintenance, insurance and property taxes. Everywhere I look, municipalities are raising property taxes year over year.

  7. Wait til autonomous cars come (under 5 years). The real estate market will shift by the trillions and rural areas will see new housing starts. Buy some beautiful rural property over an hour's drive from a city.

  8. Buying a 500k home in cash is not going to make someone go broke lol. Yes, you could get a mortgage and then earn interest on the money you save, but this decision isn't gonna make you go "broke"
