@richward-jackson8712 No, I don't think so. He may have regretted losing his temper but not his opinion that it was fairly justified. Alex O'Connor Lied to him & felt entitled to do so, self righteous after the fact & had also conducted the interview disrespectfully by the expected British standards & manners of Alex & Peter's class - one can be disagreeable and polite. O'Connor admits in the interview that he told Peter at the start they would talk for an hour on several topics but actually had in mind using that whole hour to discuss drug criminalisation, (which discussion he also would have known to annoy Hitchens) & presumed to then take up 100% more than the agreed time discussing another topic without having the courtesy of saying so. Not the way for a young single childless youtuber to treat an older married family man & experienced well travelled influential journalist, who travels by bicycle, on a warm summer day in England when he may well have had an idea of a more pleasant afternoon.

His point here, (though yours still stands), was that his voice is distinctively class marked such that he frequently encounters people of other classes that take affront to it and wish to assault him.
