Curious guest choice by @Jordan B Peterson & no interrogation of the fact that Kagan's Sister-in-law is the USAs chief troublemaker in Ukraine & is on the record through leaked phone recordings Selecting the supposedly Democratically Elected Government & infamously saying '"F### the EU" regarding the latter's influence over what happens. Very disappointed by this running straight to a highly politicised NeoCon idealogue for a take on a situation that would have been better taken from a more neutral party & perspective.

+k3nny111 Given that Peterson is a professed Christian & that most Christians refuse to engage with Nietzsche at all, I think his point is partly to say to Christians that Nietzsche's work is not without great value & insight. Given that many, if not most, of his audience aren't proffessed Christians, I think he is also trying to introduce the idea to them that this doesn't mean they don't still largely have Christian values &to everyone that most of what people understand as Christian values in a postmodern nihilistic context aren't just Christian. As you say Nietzsche's opposition to Christianity is clear & Peterson, having read him &admiring his work, probably disagrees with some of his value premises whilst appreciating the sharp insights that trim the dead meat from the structure &arguments Peterson has built from his own. One day he may address Nietsche's work directly &even if he doesn't, the discrepancies you mention will have to be tackled when he reaches the New Testament, if not before with Isaiah.

'A lack of verbal intelligence' - could affirmative action be a causal factor here?

What about a first official complete English language edition of '200 Years Together'?

+k3nny111 Thank you. Your posts, which I appreciate, deserved the effort of a careful reply. I too look forward to Peterson directly adressing Nietzsche's Christian critique though I'm not directly familiar enough with the latter's work to guess at all. However I think it obvious to say that Peterson will address Nietzsche's life &beliefs with a Darwinian lense. If you don't mind: Did Nietzsche distinguish between Christianity as an evolved layer of belief on top of others (much as Peterson presents) Or as a closed self referential total belief system (as many Protestant Fundamentalists present)? Or do such distinctions mostly not seem to matter to his critiques?

@rhumandlove393 I'm not partisan nor do I feel like simply only one side can be taken in the conflict. However, the simple facts are that this guest is a high level NeoCon whose sister in law is the chief American troublemaker in Ukraine around the time of the coup who had a phone call of her picking the next Government that was supposedly Democratically Elected infamously leaked.

+Funny Comic Sans Dog The point on the Alt-Right here regarding Jews is that the beginning of Wisdom is to Call things by their Proper Names.

I've been thinking this for a while; that Black Pope needs to be as honest & uncompromising regarding racial/ethnic issues as well as sexual ones, otherwise the continental fates will not be much moved from their current trajectories.

Sam's fundamental position is 'All People not like me are Wrong'.

I can't recommend highly enough Darryl Cooper's 'Fear & Loathing in the New Jerusalem' series on his MatyrMade podcast - here's a small taste: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5YxfHdAqk-o

Pure / Purist is the wrong word for MILO, incourageable & uncompromising Yes. JBP is not a purist either, or he would never have left a Christian co-ethnic & fellow citizen twisting in the wind for doing what JBP said he would do about C.16 but never did. Peterson is exactly what MILO said he was, a compromising, pragmatic, calculator; which is understandable on his part.

35:30 Wow, such chutzpah, doesn't take much looking into, (or knowing in advance) to recognise this as absolute self serving BS - Prof. Amy Chua spoke of this in her CSPAN BookTV Interview about Market Dominant Minorities for her book 'World on Fire', there used to be a clip but only the full interview remains available, relevant section starts 19:30 in that video.

This Judeo-Christian label is increasingly infuriating, especially in relation to development of Democracy. When have Jewish societies ever been democratic? It's the EuroPagano-Christian tradition, Judeo-Christian is almost redundant as it was in large part the RomanoHellenisation of the Levant that stimulated the Christian innovations to and deviations from Judaism anyway.

A great Irony for me with Sam's opening example is that Astrology is a Materialist philosophy, which fundamentally accepts, as Sam does, that each person is Unique but can be grouped by observable similarities and so share reactions and affective responses to their materially based environment, large necessary influences in which are the other components of our solar system, admittedly likely not in the detailed manner believers in Astrology profess but still.

The Inquisition was a SocioPolitical program of a society operating on a larger Religious program, the Nazi & Communist programs were similar SocioPolitical programs of larger Atheistic operating programs. You Cannot Escape non-rational Axiomatic Belief & Sam is a Fool if you think you can.
