Interesting, normally I'd expect the crocdile to move away from adult elephants, this crocodile clearly didn't and the elephant was clearly not happy with it. Elephants in general don't take any crap from anything but generally they'll give a good warning (stamping feet, sounding their trumpet before doing anything). It's possible the herd had recently had a calf attacked by a crocodile, in which case they're likely to be very aggressive but even so I'm surprised the crocodile didn't manage to escape. I'm pretty sure it was hugely injured by the time the guy said "it's still alive" possibly its spine was broken - it didn't seem like it was capable of moving. Having researched a bit - apprently the crocodile attacked the elephant - not a mistake that you get to repeat...
