  49. It does not matter how much money and resources we send to the border. Local politicians will pay themselves "HUGE SALARIES" and say they need more money. Look at Laredo Texas..a city manager was paid 880'000 plus lifetime benefits while poor people lost their family homes due to sky high taxes.. The average income in Laredo is 16,000 and most of the population is on welfare and food stamps.
