  1. @Moosh50 You don’t really "waste protein" your body is taking it in all the same. But anyway, what you were talking about in regards to milk just talks again about its efficiency and how its done in practice, but not about milk on its own being something to avoid for vegans. Their entire philosophy is based on not hurting animals. If they say "I don’t want to drink milk because farms are artificially increasing the milk output to the cows detriment" I can understand that, but if they say "I won’t drink milk, period" then that makes no sense to me. Vegans should realize exactly why they are what they are, and not "just because". Vegetarians don’t have to deal with this question because you can’t eat the meat of an animal without harming it, which is also why the philosophy of vegetarians makes much more sense to me and a lot of people

  3.  @papej3290 But that makes no sense unless you’re allergic to it. The point of being vegetarian or vegan is to not harm animals. Why wouldn’t you drink milk or eat unfertilized eggs that cows and chickens produce as a byproduct by living anyway? And ESPECIALLY IF ITS YOUR OWN BREAST MILK, what argument of a vegan would be against that possibly???

  4.  @Mereologist  Well yes, I didn’t say that all vegans think the same, which is why I was only talking about those that do think like this. Well, it’s unrealistic to be there the SECOND an animal dies of natural causes, even on a farm, and if you just wait a few minutes, you probably don’t want that meat anymore. Though to be honest, it would make more sense to have a group of people that is fine with eating meat of animals who only die when they are very old, and I know of farms that solely do that. In that case it wouldn’t really make much of a difference to get killed at an old age or natural causes. Basically, vegetarians make more sense than vegans, but not much if they are that because they are concerned about the well being of animals.

  5.  @Mereologist  The f? WHO would want to eat meat that has been splattered all across the road and might have tire marks on it? I mean I guess if you hit it perfectly cleanly but as someone coming across roadkill pretty much every week I can tell you that is not something you would want to eat
