  1.  @xKinjax  "cheating" didn’t exist in the nobility like how it might in regular relationships of common people. They would of course stay together, you can’t just break up like a heartbroken teenager when the marriage is holding a whole realm together. Nobility, male and female, would just either have concubines or straight up go to high class brothels, this wasn’t so much cheating as it wasn’t meant to be a serious relationship with any of them. Honestly that is exaggerated though, particularly by series such as game of thrones. But the point is that they don’t just take new main partners that easily because who you are married to mattered a lot when nobility had power.
