The problem is pride month in itself and it’s crazy to me how people are either unable to grasp or unwilling to say that. The rest of the world doesn’t have this weird "one month is a group of people" type thing, it’s just an American invention. You shouldn’t relegate such things to only one specific month because what inevitably happens is exactly this. Companies are not behaving any differently, they behave exactly like during Christmas time, which is also around a month, this is just a result of having this pride month in the first place. It annoys people that don’t want anything to do with LGBT stuff because it’s shoved into their face where ever they go all month, and it annoys the people that do want it normally because no one cares before or after and because it all feels so fake catered to by some companies that are only doing this because they’re desperate for DEI points. Just get rid of all these "months"

@UnholyLia Yeah of course it is done in other places now, because it’s imported from America, but as someone living in Europe, it’s nowhere near as much of a thing as in the US. It’s mostly in the UK, which again, more influence from the US due to being anglosphere. The CSD is a DAY, CHRISTOPHER STREET DAY , in no way is that the same as a month or even more leading up to it of constantly shoving all this in your face. It’s like any other event, if you want to take part in it you do, if you don’t, it doesn’t bother you or is less likely to. What are "these countries" you’re talking about?? Always love to see the American imagination portraying the rest of the world as just barbarians, while thinking of themselves as some sort of enlightened land of the free while they never even left their country in their lives, it sure hasn’t changed. You think "pride month" is some sort of innate concept that comes with being LGBT?? No, it’s at its core an American invention like Black or Women’s history month. Just a marketing concept relegating people’s identities to something akin to museum pieces to only look at in some sort of defined space and time instead of just generally or when someone wants to.

As someone that has frequently been in the UK and the US, it is NOWHERE NEAR the same as over there, you literally can’t escape it. @somebodyoncetoldme2664 A day is certainly different than a month, and I also wouldn’t be in favor of just adding a new holiday for whatever the f. This is where the problem lies, you believe you can only respect others within these timeframes. You need a certain month to tell you how to think otherwise you can’t just be conscious of it yourself, otherwise you wouldn’t be in favor of a "pride month". Ah yes, here comes the victim complexes again, no they weren’t, and annoying everyone else for a month every year doesn’t exactly relate to that anyway. "You think they have 0 problems in any sense outside of law or in law even in as short as 10 years?"?????? Nice strawman, can you point me to where I said that? Oh wait you can’t because I never did. You seem to mistake me being against a pride month as me being against gay rights or something, which is such a gross either intentional or incompetent misunderstanding. The aim is to normalize these groups, segregating them into their own months to ogle at like museum pieces does the opposite, it just solidifies the belief of others that they have no intention to be a normal part of society just like them. Of course that is wrong, which is exactly why we need to get rid of these types of months and I can tell you that outside the Anglosphere people don’t care about that and it doesn’t take away in any way from gay rights.

First off you’re not even correct, you don’t know the first thing about Christmas, Christmas Eve IS NOT a holiday for christians, the first and second day of Christmas are holidays (the 25th and 26th) lmao And I guess you’ve never heard of Advents. Four weeks before Christmas (so about a month) is when the first advent starts and each week is a new one before Christmas. You’re so unbelievably wrong it's embarrassing

@Stumme-40203 It’s not about what "people count" that is the official Christmas, the 25th and 26th, which is why they were the only days free when there used to be no general Christmas holiday "Almost no one celebrates the 2nd day"??? Yes they do, what are you talking about? But the Advents start the whole Christmas season. You would be lying to yourself if you said something like Christmas mood doesn’t exist in December. Clearly it’s not just suddenly Christmas and then it’s over, people very much are in that mood the whole month before or more, which is represented by all the Christmas related marketing beginning in November already at times. And even though the song is called that, "Christmas" specifically refers to the birth of Jesus, the Epiphany is not part of Christmas
