7:20 The drops don’t slide down because the silk isn’t atomically smooth. The water wets the silk, penetrates into nooks and crannies, and so to slide down would require increasing surface energy

You have an awesome family

Well nighthawkinlight, you could definitely get an intuition for flight speed through experimentation, and for a given stiffness and density, it will vibrate at a particular frequency. Divide the time frequency by the speed and you get a space frequency, and then multiply the distance to the target by that to get the number of wobbles

What is the spectrograph program called?

I was wondering what was going through your head, and if you were thinking about how easy it would be to get stuck down there right before you said about it. I really wonder how you just meet cool people like that. Is it talent? Skill? Because you have a big youtube channel?

So it looks like what is making the drops explode is that the nodal area is getting smaller. The actual node is just a point, but the water droplet is able to remain stable within a certain range of pressure. When the space that has that pressure shrinks, it pancakes the droplets until they explode.

All he is doing is changing the attitude of the blades, it's perfectly within the boundaries of physics. But he is definitely at least a frickin ninja

7:00 dude that worked unbelievably well!

It’s interesting how much you can learn just by fooling around with shampoo https://youtu.be/WC6tjcDOShU

It's actually a single helix...

9:50 That is true, but sometimes people have multiple carburetors so they can adjust for differences in cylinder performance (like difference in compression) to get a smoother engine

So, what were the procedures that you had to go through to get permission, because I'd love to do this some day?

If you used the same logic as for the first one, then the second one would've been clear. It's just such a strange result that your brain doesn't want to accept it until you see it for yourself.
