A problem i see is that people hear stories like this and then conclude nuclear power is dangerous and needs to stop, even in countries where the tecjnology is used in an incredibly safe and robust way. Gasoline can burn you, suffocate you, or explode you to death, yet we use it without any second thought. Radiation is also scary because of how it's invisible, often undetectable, until it's too late
