  1. This is what I do with my linux ibstalls as well. If anythibg happens to the system, wipe the system alone and install, and there ya go. But many programs expect to be installed in standard locations and to have their save files in My Documents on windows, which is why I havenlt been able to priperly commit to this

  2. And this is one of the big reasons windows is dumb and linux is good. It actually has the expected behavior of backwards compatibility in glibc, and a package manager tracks shared dependencies in a standardized way, and it decides what to uninstall, insteaf of the program being uninstalled, which is the obvious choice since it's impossoble for a dev to know which dependencies are shared.
