And it turned out that the bat soup crap was just a cover story for the lab leak anyway. Similarly, a part of African American culture is soul food, which is quite unhealthy, but is the kind of food that was available, and so it got embedded into the culture. At the end of the day, it seems increasingly clear to me that these people are racists too. Just a case of “the surest way to win people to your cause is to tell them that they can be nasty to others”. They just want an excuse or outlet to be racist and for it to be ok
