Plus, OP, where pray tell do you think the money to pay corporate taxes and investments comes from? Do you think money just appears in the pockets of the wealthy out of thin air? Oh right! We give them that money by paying for goods and services. And so taxing them higher makes those things more expensive, particularly for low margin things like groceries. So it ends up being higher cost of living rather than direct taxation, which the wealthy can easily absorb, but us common folk are hit hard by
