Consider this: many people dislike all spiders, even though not all are dangerous to people. Yet those people that dislike all spiders aren’t interested in determining which spiders are actually dangerous, they just avoid them because there’s other animals that are just plain more likable, like dogs or reptiles or cats or fish. I’m not worried about “getting away with my bs” I’m worried about them looking for bs right out the gate. Looking for a reason to end it or cause trouble. If you get em before they’re jaded, “carefree” as she says, it’s just so much more pleasant. Any form relationship where one person is looking for faults in the other actively is going to be dysfunctional
