@henkolsonpietersen2242 They even say in the video about how west Germany recovered far more quickly than east Germany. It would be different if the people who hated capitalism had an idea that wasn't even worse like communism/socialism/marxism

Something else that's lost upon these people is that if an employer made a product that would put themselves out of business, who would work for that company, knowing that they're just going to have to get another job anyway? Y'all treat employers like evil gremlins, not people making decisions just like employees have to. Can you honestly say you would pay out the nose to move to a new place, have work for a few years, and then be out of work in your career field, requiring you to learn entirely new skills? Do you not have empathy or concern how people feel the moment you decide they're your enemy? Be human, for real

@ethan1367 Sigh... it's so frustrating when people don't understand economics. Do you not realize that the people running the business have bills and taxes to pay as well? That they don't get to just take whatever money they bring in and keep it? Plus, employers have inconsistent income, yet employees generally expect stable income, so employers have to absorb variation in market conditions. It would be cool if people thought more than five seconds about things before jumping on a bandwagon

3:13 Funny how this video and most others, as well as typical american education do not make clear that the "democratic" side wasn't democratic, and communism (or whatever else you would call it if you're an apologist) was the reason for this difference in outcome, not a coincidence. No joke, 1/4 college students today believe we should give communism another try, because apparently seeing all this suffering caused by it is not enough to make them think twice. It is precisely the ability to work and employ freely, private property rights, and representative govenrment that led to the economic "miracle". Quotes because it's not really a miracle, just what happens naturally when people are free vs what happens when you try to centrally plan
