  1. You'd be into something. Paying off blackmail isn't a crime, falsifying business records as he did is a misdemeanor, and this was beyond statute of limitations for that. It got elevated to felony because they claimed it was committed in the process of committing a felony which was never adjudicated. You hate someone, news says he got felonies, you believe he deserves it because you hate him, don't look any further into it, and gloat about how righteous you are. It's exhausting how lazy people are, while pretending to be a cut above
