  1. Yeah that’s exactly how I thought. They don’t want to respond right now because they need to strategize, because they’re the ones gaming the system. It’s easy for the right to repair people to speak because they just want to have less waste and give consumers what they want. Not exactly a rocket science argument. The anti-repair can’t just come straight out and say it’s about money, and they might not even see it that way

  2. 20:30 Uhhhh no. They have an incentive to make money, and if they can convince people that their best option is to buy a new device then they will. They still get to be the good guys though, because they make independent repair sound bad, and they try to make customer experiences with independent repair worse by restricting availability of parts and repair information, which the average person doesn’t know about.
