The riots got backlash because they were pointless destruction of their own communities. They create food deserts by acting like that, and then complain about how they have food deserts. Same thing with jobs being hard to come by. Not only that, much of the rioting was just an excuse to loot. DEI is about how there's been selective hiring on the basis of race, oftentimes subsidized by the feds. Racism, it turns out, is unpopular. Doesn't matter if you put a bunch of makeup on it and call it righteous. CRT is another case of gas lighting, BTW. That is the precise source of this notion that racism targeting white people doesn't count. Yet they said it's only this thing taught in law school that nobody should worry about.
