Pretty sure not unless it somehow was taken seriously by others and damaged him in some way as a result. This lady had an audience and persistently spread a lie about Cardi with the intent of damaging her public image and harassing her. If I told my friends that cardi has herpes, she wouldn’t have a case against me, because she wouldn’t even know about some rando talkin crap with his friends. That’s something a lot of people don’t understand about defamation. It’s not enough that it’s a lie, it must be purposeful and substantially harmful. Like legaleagle said, if she were neutrally reporting something that turned out to be false, there would be some protection
