Well, you should make sure to save for retirement, unless you intend for your children to not have the option to not work sometimes like this

That's true, but today people call not getting whatever they want "oppression" and denial of their humanity. Extreme example: making child molesters live away from kids and notify neighbors etc is not oppression. In most places and times, you would be castrated or put to death. Saying that a man can't go into the woman's bathroom because he "feels like a woman" isn't denying right to exist. It's demanding that as an adult, you act like it. We all have shit we're going through, and most of us figure out how to manage not making it other people's problem or making them feel uncomfortable or unsafe. That is not oppression, that is being a grown up

I mean... both are true? It's not a contradiction. The whole point is not to pretend like we don't have emotions, but to get over our emotions and act like fkin adults when we talk politics. Here's an example: we complain about how African children are too poor to afford shoes. So we donate millions of shoes to send over there, something helpful, right? Well... what it really did was make any small businesses selling shoes that were in those areas collapse because you can't compete with free, and so it actually made the problem worse. People voting for what feels good and right is also one of the biggest flaws of democracy. What needs to be done in order to secure the future for our children is often quite unpleasant in the short term, and so people will basically vote to borrow or steal from their children's future

I mean... the only way to get that tribalism to stop is for people to pay for their news regardless of whether it's sensational or not. Legacy media is already so far gone idk if it even can be salvaged, but people watch and pay individual content creators, because they're not backed by billionaires or the state, and so actually have a chance in hell at doing the job right.

This is also why it's silly to fight over whether Hitler was left or right wing in order to discredit arguments. Just state the facts: Hitler was inspired by Marxism, but viewed it as an abject failure needing to be replaced by something better and stronger. He also understood that racializing issues makes it almost impossible for people to not get engaged. Both Marxism and racializing things are bad, but since they're so wicked useful at getting people under control, the elite will almost definitely renounce them of their own accord
