  1. “Lizard brain” is literally just referring to how our brain is hierarchically structured. You have the most basic nervous system which regulates homeostasis, you have slightly higher stuff like motion planning, and then you have things like instincts, drives urges. The “lizard brain” is those last ones. This title is like saying it’s a myth that Spider-Man could make web shoot out of his arms. No one actually thinks we have a lizard brain inside of our actual brain
