You all do realize that Russia is at the moment only activated 10% of its military force, taking ground periodically after obliterating UKraine forces with a weeks shelling, costing untold Ukrainian lives. All for a geopolitical circle wank by globalists. Ukraine is of no real concern to the west only a means to weaken Russia. I really do feel for the the Ukrainian people, as I did for the Ukrainians being shelled daily the last 8 years in the Donbass.

@steamroller257 Wow ... sun shining in your world? All numbers mentioned including the troop build up was around 150K max. Try some other sources other than Ukrainian. Anyway all I can see is the red area spreading, so believe what you want.

@circulode4tas48 no doubt the war is taxing on Russia but according to the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) estimated that the Russian Armed Forces numbered about 1,027,000 active troops and in the region of 2,035,000 reserves (largely ex-conscripts) in 2010. So they haven't mobilized anywhere near what they could. Now if they wanted to invade the whole of Ukraine thumb rule is 3:1 ratio in favor of the invader, they are 3:1 in Ukraines' favor. The west haven't endless stash of weapons especially Europe who are now closing down industries due to lack of gas. Ukraine are running out of willing fighters who are being slaughtered by the massive artillery advantage Russia has. Russia will take the Donbass and most likely Odessa and the west can't do squat about it. We in Europe are paying for this war and sanctions in a huge way and we have our incompetent, puppet leaders to thank for it. One day people will wake up and see the big picture of USA using Ukraine to drive a wedge between EU and Russia(as the Atlantists' have done for 200 years). If Europe had any sovereignty or balls they would have forced Ukraine to implement the Minsk agreement and all would be as it was. Ukraines are paying big time and won't have a country left... and all you lot are cheering on their corrupt clown of a president as if it was a football match. Big winner in all the as usual is the USA who planned and instigated it.

@steamroller257 fact is 150k troops in use out of 2m strong millitary including 900K reservists. They haven't gone for the NATO option of shock and awe but it's possible. But that's only an option outside of the Russian ethnic/speaking areas if they decide to. You have certainly a rosy spin on things with a truck load of confidence. You seem as NATO leaders, hell bent on fighting this to the last Ukraine. By the way I'm not pro-russian just tied of the endless NATO wars.

@steamroller257 source? you could start with the countless posts from Ukrainian servicemen on social media from the eastern front. By their own accounts they are going through hell, lost up to 40% of there battalions are complaining about lack of leadership, and running out of weapons. Put simply they can't match the Russian barrage. The west can send all the weapons they want, most of which are ending up on the black market, but will only delay the inevitable. Should have implemented the Minsk accord.

Pretty common Russian tactic... go in with a small forces and draw the artillery fire of the UAF. They retreat after locating the positions of the artillery weapons then proceed with an artillery dual. Her the Russians have a massive advantage and will always win this dual. After they are destroyed expect the real offensive. Seen this several times explained by Col. Mac Gregor and Scott Ritter.
