Corporatists don't see themselves as evil although they are, but the big picture is how we stop being mercs for the global Corporatist mother fuckers! ANSWER : JUST STOP BUYING NEW SHIT! Things may get hard for awhile, some markets may crash, but fuck, do you want to live under the tyrannical corporate thumb, or do you want real freedom? A 10% drop in worldwide sales of new homes, autos, and, yes, smartphones would change corporate culture pretty Goddamned fast!

@bohansenboh That's an easy answer for me. I'm in Texas and I just voted for Bernie Sanders and most left/least corporate people I could find! And right now there aren't too many anti-Corporatists, but the numbers increase as they get more votes.

Dennis Miller Sanctions invariably hurt the poor. We get information from the government that they want us to have, i.e. spin. When we physically go into a conflict like that it's usually in a corporate mercenary capacity. Just being real.

@clearvision07 Yes, the purpose of sanctions is usually to destabilize a government by pressuring their financial institutions, and as you say poor people die as a result of these corporate mercenary acts.

@bohansenboh Thoughts indeed. HELL YES! That's an AWESOME concept! Damn, if you could get a group together and get that done. BTW, those were good ideas you had about 6 comments up also. I'm going back to read that again but I had to write this just to let you know that this would be a revolutionary (just don't call it that before it gets done, lol) change in the antiquated ol' boy system!

@bohansenboh Okay I had to catch up. So between Dan, Masha, and you, all good ideas but I liked yours better. Educating people has mixed results and takes a long time (I feel like I'm in that kind of grind every day on YT, lol), and protests are only effective if started organically after a flash point and maintained over a very long time, like against Vietnam, and they're easy to infiltrate by agitators, and lots of laws have been passed to limit them already. So step one is to start forming a group. I know there's a huge dissatisfaction among the left in Wisconsin since Walker, and you will find people. It's amongst such a group where you can debate and vote on which actions have the best chance of success. But your ideas are very sound, just be a good listener and keep an open mind. Good luck!

@bohansenboh I'm just now seeing your answer. That's why it's important to think through your last moves, like who in power to talk to and when. I don't know if posting part of it on social media to maybe draw some support would be good, but I'm guessing you wouldn't be taken seriously. I don't know your environment but I'm guessing those in power are very cautious, and you need to be without being fearful. Just talk with your peeps, make a decision and present with CERTAINTY.

@bohansenboh Now seeing your second reply, and I think I sensed that and responded as best I could. I didn't mean to be tentative, but I do know about Wisconsin and Walker, Ryan, and Grothman. @bohansenboh Yeah, I guess I don't have to tell you that all of YT left thinks Bernie should've gone after Biden's record more, but that's hindsight and I remember that Bloomers looked like the bigger threat 2 weeks ago. But I think that right after Super Tuesday he should've gone hard after Warren's support, considering the suburban voters he needs. Maybe that's been happening behind the scenes. Anyway I hope he wins, and if he does you'll have a cachet which will open doors--for about 5 minutes! So choose wisely, I say being the optimist!

If you want to stop being corporate mercs then STOP BUYING NEW SHIT! That's a hard ask, but a 10% worldwide drop in big-ticket sales would damn sure turn the corner. Anyone for 20%?

@peetsnort I would normally comment about how justice and fairness prevailed, but clearly things went wrong in some way, and since it's your country all I can say is I regret that things didn't work out like all those '80s activists hoped they would.
