Sparky McCloud Baker's first 3 seasons were great. The second 3 were sporadic at best. Pertwee's were good all the way through.

Sparky McCloud Ah, I think you, like me, are partial to the UNIT stories. I liked the Brigadier as the Doctor's co-worker and foil, but their fights were sometimes grating. I loved the two Brigadier stories with Baker and always hated there weren't more. I also agree about the two tales of terror, and all the Leela stories were great. But the things that I hated about Baker's 6th were the slower, foreboding pace accompanied by the droning electronic music all the way through. Then Davison and Baker2 largely ruined their tenures, and McCoy at least brought back some elements of Doctors 2-4 that were missed. But I'm convinced it was that music that brought down ratings more than anything.
