And I say that as a proud American, although I mean proud of MY IDEALS but thoroughly SICKENED at the base values and amorality of the evil mass-murdering corporatists who represent us! After the shit hole country comment I saw a French headline that read "Pays de merde." I saw the same thing in Spanish, "País de mierde." I'm practically fluent in Spanish, but not in Spanish slang (neither is my keyboard, lol), so I assumed mierde was like dung and that these comments were a slap back at us from unappreciative allies. And I was like, THANK YOU! Because we need the rest of the world to offer us the backs of their hands instead of trying to kiss the ass of the half-orangutan! So thanks again for your kind words of hope!

@Warrior_warlock Right--destabilized to the point of destruction! So NOT hyperbole! I don't think anyone in Chile during Pinochet's regime, anyone in Guatemala for the last 65 years, or anyone in Honduras, Salvador, Brasil, Bolivia, Venezuela, et.al. RIGHT NOW would consider it hyperbole to say we destroyed or are destroying their country.

I respect your decision, wish you well, and hope the orange simian over there don't initiate Maggie 2.0 austerity and make as big a mess as his counterpart over here! But to be encouraging, as far as healthcare you're better off almost ANYWHERE BUT HERE! I'm 63, and 3 years ago I lost my wife and the love of my life to a totally unnecessary heart attack. 2/26/17. I had turned 60 in December, and I was waiting for her to turn 60 on March 8, when we would've been eligible for a house through USDA. Well I was already, but I wanted it to be in her name because I expected to pass on first. So no more renting! Yeah, best laid plans and all. Why? It's really hard not to blame God. But I blame every GDM soulless mass-murdering corporatist in this country. I hate their sorry souls or empty husks and will never stop fighting them. Even if I had somewhere to go my wife is here and I will not leave her. But to you or anyone else with a chance, I say RUN! FLY! GET OUT AS IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT, BECAUSE IT DOES!

@Warrior_warlock Sure, I'm not arguing your exact wording but just putting into the context of the people who live there, who feel on a macro way the way tornado victims, for example, feel when their entire lives short of their physical existence are destroyed.

@petitevintageladybug Thanks so much for your empathy. I was tearing up when I wrote it cz yesterday was the 3-yr anniv of the funeral, and on Sunday she wdve been 64. So hard days, not that there are easy ones. But your story was so touching and your follow-up equally so, it only makes me more determined to fight against the kind of country we've become that good people have to literally run away from or die! All the best of luck to you and your husband!

I'm just usually in fight mode, trying to inspire and motivate people who get disheartened over the many setbacks done us by the Corporatists, and I don't always quickly recognize a friend I should be thanking. Such is cyberwar, lol.
