@Antechynus About that supposed separation. Now big religion can contribute to politicians. I hope the ACLU or someone is fighting that in court, but I haven't heard.

TheHomoludens Kosher Nostra? That's one I hadn't heard, but I get it. I don't like to throw blankets over whole religions, but pinpoint individuals and hierarchies. Rahm Emanuel is a truly evil rat bastard, but it's the corporatists and their followers who do the real evil. Altruists like me who believe in people first fight against this fascist, nihilist evil! But a religion is just a set of ideas and beliefs ; it's the Greed-crazed acolytes of any ism that need to be sorted out. Meaning punished, here on earth. No waiting for an unknown judgement day. If and when that happens, the earthly punishment may rehabilitate the evildoer for the hereafter. I have hope of an aftetlife, but I don't let it make up my mind about doing the right things while I'm here.

@mikeharrington5593 Right! And I do admire Larry's loyalty to Powell. There have been varying accounts of when Powell got on board and how strongly he had felt before, but with Wilkerson maintaining his solid belief all these years, that gives his word a lot of credibility.

Somewhere in that previous diatribe I meant to say that while Rahm Emanuel and the also-mentioned banksters are in fact evil, you can't just tar every member of a religion the same because of some members' evil deeds. But we have separation of church and state, and yet now pols can contribute to religions?!? Is this not being challenged in court?

I didn't know he was mucking about in Nam, but I was a 30-ish govt employee during the ridiculous invasion of Granada. Flamminio Di Sera I also believe in a higher power but I hate the hell out of organized religion cz it's run by corrupt MEN who are elevated as closer to God than the rest of us--which is BULLSHIT! Organized religion is responsible for more unnecessary death and killing than any other cause!

@James Orman Organized religion has started or influenced most all wars in human history. I believe in God or whatever you want to call a higher power. But our beliefs belong in separate, individual churches with pastors not raised as closer to God and given POWER! That's the flaw we need to beat to keep opposing beliefs out of government!
