  5. Saying that people were "merely operating off different data sets" seems a little misleading. The information is all out there now and everyone gets to pick and choose their own data sets. In essence, people will believe what they want to believe, and do what they want to do. So when people claim to want the same things but select data sets which produce different outcomes... they don't actually want the same thing. They just don't.
