@nuui2hou Me too. It takes time to travel into town.

@twindragon64ify How about you show us your evidence for what holds in your flat oceans? Don't have any, do you, and not interested in looking either, eh? Never been seen, touched, measured, photographed. So far, standard flattard behavior. No flat Earth without your big ice wall, but i expect it doesn't bother you, this evidence thing.

Initially, it would be a bit of an ask to abandon Honda's VTEC in favor of CVVD, if only because VTEC is so smooth and bulletproof, especially in Type R. Anybody remember BRM's H16? That's 16 pistons, not valves. That it ran at all with the technology of the 60s remains a mystery. Poor Jim Clark - 1 win at the USGP was it, and they retired the motor. I'd prefer to see the CVVD progress to a Type R version, and a year's hard use in a car, before considering it. And I'd like to see some serious HP/torque figures to recommend it above VTEC's output.

I'll look for his vid on HP vs torque. A very famous engine builder once said, "Torque wins races, horsepower sells motors." On a short track, torque is king, and vice versa on a long track. Just ask the Escort drivers when the Warrior and other 4 valve heads arrived - SOHC 2 valve on the short tracks, DOHC 4 valve on the ones with long straights, such as Silverstone.

@sleek7682 Gee, a mind reader who appears to think that I believe "nothing created everything". Any other gems of clairvoyance for us?

HP vs Torque - an old debate. Carroll Smith suggested that torque wins races and HP sells motors. Depends entirely on what you drive and what you want to achieve. Me, it's lap times. How well you pull out of all those corners has an effect on how soon you hit max speed down the next straight - and so forth. Short tracks, no doubt that max torque is king.
