  1. People that have the money tend to go through the much easier process of getting it legit. I know I did when I started earning a decent paycheck. I used to pirate absolutely everything when I had no money, then when I had money I started paying because it was easier and it was all available in the same place, like Steam. Maybe they should go after real crime, like human trafficking. Or maybe they have a motivation not to . . .

  2. Dev Detour did a video on this two months ago, but I will watch this as well because Computer Time is an amusingly arcane thing. Edit: Huh. This went a completely different direction than Dev Detour's video on file ages, though it ended on the same point of Unix Time.

  3. My oldest file I have been able to find on my current system is from 2007, though it's part of some old backups brought forward from an older system. Actually, it's like three systems between my current computer and the one the file was created on, the backups brought forward through each one as I retired the old and bought the new. I still have the hard drive from that oldest system (my first PC that wasn't a hand-me-down from my mom, ca 2001-2002) laying around somewhere, and it'll have even older files, but I have no idea where it is.

  6. I've had Windows forever. Win 3.11 was good. Win 95 was good. Win 98 SE was good. Win XP was great. Win 7 was amazing. (We don't mention the other versions of Windows.) Then Win 8 and 8.1 came out and it was optimized for touch screens. Then Win 10 came out and sucked for gamers for a long, long time until it had been improved enough. Now Win 11 has come out and it's bloated spyware all day every day, and I've started learning Linux.
