What's the meme about the sub-par copper delivery? I am intrigued.

@JamieAllen1977 The Sumerians drank beer. It was served right after brewing in jugs, with straws for drinking so you could avoid the scum floating on top. There was no opening of any kind of beverage. Bottles and cans hadn't been invented, my dude.

@JamieAllen1977 The beer was generally drunk immediately, either straight from the brewing vat or from clay jugs in various establishments. Sealing it would be pointless as it was made locally everwhere in the fertile crescent and therefore it wasn't really a trade good as such. It also didn't store well without refrigeration or additives such as hops or gruit that help keep it shelf stable, in difference to wine. That's not to say the large vessels used to transport it from a brewing site to a drinking establishment might not be sealed temporarily while hauling it along on a cart or wagon, but it wouldn't be served that way to customers.

"Proto-cuneiform also used a staggering number of symbols. Over nine hundered have been identified in the earliest tablets." There are over fifty thousand Kanji in Japanese, with around five thousand being required to be memorized to be considered to have basic competency, along with all their multiple meanings, multiple pronounciations, as well as the correct direction and order of strokes. Nine hundred isn't that much in comparison.

Love the Age of Empires music. Like nostalgia injected directly into the brain stem. I keep expecting to hear "Rogan?"
