Most jobs that are done primarily or exclusively on computers will go the way of the dodo over the next 5-10 years. My advice? Become a lumberjack or firefighter or something.

@ZenithBlade101 Saying that the current cutting edge AI is just fancy autocomplete is like saying an F1 racer is just a fancy ox cart. Technically true, but completely misses the point.

@tiefblau2780 The steam engine is just hot air moving a piston, but it put a lot of people out of work. A computer is just a rock we taught to think with lightning. How many more jobs can the lightning rock take than the hot air pusher?

@MyDogDoingStuffIG My man, the biggest hindrance to getting in there isn't writing talent (as should be evident by quite a few of those who are there), it's politics.

@TheJokerReturns Well yeah, but getting that to work is less about AI and more about the engineering problems of robots operating in those difficult environments. Especially firefighting. Any robot firetruck can spray water at a building, but building one that can do smoke diving and SAR completely autonomously and without assistance from an actual human is extremely challenging. It would have to be built like a tank, fire proof, smoke proof, strong as an ox, yet still light enough and small enough to be able to operate in a structurally comprimised building in conditions that are constantly changing.
