I was in California from 1989 to 1999 and saw my townhouse go from 101,000 down to 75,000 in 2006-7 up to $400,000 in 2008 then back down to $75,000 again and then up to about up to $250,000 now,and I expect it to drop waaay down again soon ! we waited until 2008 when the crash happened and they lowered our house price $20,000, then we bought. If it were to me I would sell my house in LA now and wait until it crashes and then buy two or three of them !!! I wanted to do that last time, but my wife refused to listen to me!!!

  4. I was around in 2007-08 and I didn’t sell when it went up, but when the market crashed, we went and bought a house in Arizona, and got a low price. Meanwhile we’ve paid off both houses, so it doesn’t matter too much if they go up or down.
