  1. It’s a bit much to describe the United States as an empire. It doesn’t really compare to other empires, it doesn’t compare to the Roman Empire, the Spanish Empire, not even the Portuguese empire! It is part of the larger British Empire as an be evidenced by their language, culture and systems as an ex colony and part of the wider British Empire. Yes they have a massive army, that’s easy! Winning is the hard part and that’s the part they find difficult!
