  1. Well, there are theories that suspect these Democratic mayors and governors are deliberately allowing their cities to be trashed, as part of a long-term land grab. If the Federal government won't bail them out, and insurance companies won't cover acts of riots/terrorism/war, then a significant amount of these real estate properties could default and go back to banks or even the local government for unpaid taxes. Either way, the real estate would be dumped on the market for pennies on the dollar, where wealthy real estate investors could scoop up large areas that, otherwise, were unavailable. Interesting theory...
