  1. I wonder how many people who commit suicide within 3 months of being released from a facility do so because they stop taking their meds? I've had many friends work at mental health facilities, and they said it's a cycle. The patient undergoes treatment, gets regulated and stabilized on Rx meds, and is released under orders to continue taking their meds. But the meds make them feel so good, the patients think "I really don't need these" and stop taking them. It takes a couple weeks for the meds to leave their system, and they crash hard. We've got other meds that as slow release implants, etc, why not for psyc meds?
