It's that we were forcibly ordered to isolate, fed constantly conflicting information all while being told not only were our lives at risk, but at any point we could become the murderer of others, especially of the people we love...

  7. Point about beautiful cathedrals: Many were built during times when the masses were mostly illiterate. That's why things like stained glass windows told the Bible stories, etc. Even the uneducated could memorize and understand from the images. Most of these "beautiful " churches people think of were Baroque or Rococo design. Wealthy families bought their pews, and often side altars. They demonstratedtheir wealthalso by showing off with gold leaf. The poor were sometimes not allowed into the building at all. They could gather outside and listen through open doors and windows. That's why the exterior were also very ornate, with statues, paintings, etc. If you ever have the chance to tour Germany, be sure to visit the Ettal, the doms of Munich (St Peters) and of Trier (decorated with massive marble statues and altars). Many times, the master artist who created the designs did not live long enough to see it. In Trier, each side alter took 1 artist an entire lifetime to carve.

  10. How can she not see it? Because she's only 18, and has limited life experiences and is trusting the "experts". We know human brains don't reach full maturity until around 25.

  11. What would happen if you fully Believe (surrender) to Christ? You experience a Peace that surpasses all understanding. You walk in the Spirit. I highly respect JP and enjoy his lectures. Be he has innate control issues that are blocking him from accepting 1) that he NEEDS a personal savior and 2) that savior is Jesus Christ alone. Instead JP is trying to stay in control, all in his head, logic driven thinking that does nothing but exult himself.

  12. My thoughts: 1) while you are obviously brilliant and passionate about your work, please do not choose to carry the weight of the world upon your shoulders. No one person can forcibly "save" another...that whole pesky "free will" stuff! 2) the world is better with you in it, even at a 1% capacity, versus 0%. You need to focus on HEALING YOURSELF, for the sake of yourself and your family. If you doubt this, re-read #1. 3) I look forward to your Biblical discussions, but please don't over analyze it to the point that the beauty and mystery of some passage disappear. Psalms and Proverbs are wisdom, yes, but also art. Is it more important to analyze a recipe to death? Or savor the experience of consuming it? God Bless, you and your family, remain in my prayers!

  13. I was diagnosed diabetic in Dec 2024. My blood sugar level averages 150, so no insulin. I went thru the hospital diabetes education classes, taught by a registered dietitian. The program she uses instructs diabetic people to get 60 grams of carbs PER MEAL. Yes, you read that correctly, sixty grams of carbs EACH MEAL. I asked to be transfered to an endocrinologist, who said he advised his patients each no more than 15-20 grams per DAY, with the focus on lean protein...
